Sator Took Center Stage at MipTV’s 49th Spring International Television Market
The media 3.0 platform garnered mainstream exposure from speaking appearances and forged new partnership opportunities
Sator recently had a presence at the Cannes-based MipTV’s 59th Spring International television market, the longest running premier, global and multi-genre content market of its kind.
The event, which took place from April 4–6, was held at the Palais des Festivals et des Congress and drew in 5,000 participants, 1,200 buyers, 150 exhibitors and 80 countries. Co-Founder and President Chris Martin took the stage for multiple speaking opportunities and showcased Sator’s media 3.0 platform which democratizes mainstream content for non-crypto natives. She provided deep insights on the metaverse, the future of NFTs and the uptick in Esports interest.
“Speaking on MipTV’s global stage, having the opportunity to shed light on our first-of-its-kind decentralized AR universe and have it materialize into so many dynamic partnership conversations shows the international interest and desire to be a part of the Web3 universe,” stated Martin, who spoke about the company’s original research and educated executives how to expand linear content to Web3 and increase blockchain-based audience engagement.
Martin spoke on two panels “What Traditional Media Can Learn from Esports” and “Immersive Entertainment: Will Esports and Gaming Be the Guide Through the Metaverse?” driving mass interest to the Sator booth. The booth featured headsets for TV executives to jump into the Sator metaverse or “Satorverse” as an avatar where visitors could watch TV, play games, roast marshmallows, pet a polar bear, launch rockets, toast virtual champagne, play basketball and even fly.
“Sator sits at a rapid growth juncture as everyone from producers to non-crypto native users are eager to participate in this evolving global content realm at a time when blockchain markets are exploding,” said Sator CEO Isla Perfito. “We’re elated to align interests throughout film, television, music and other content on a global scale.”
The successful outcome urged potential partnership discussions with more than 40 global entertainment entities. Sator was the only exhibitor at MipTV giving away rare NFTs and gifted a collection of extra-terrestrial television executives to conference attendees, inspired by Satorverse Guardians.
